Domain name for $750 000

In the US, ADX Labs technology company acquired the poker.net domain name for $750 000. Such a deal became the largest one in the history of domain purchases.

The previous record was the purchase of the mobile.net domain for $500 000 in 2014. This time, the purchase amount turned out to be $250 000 more (almost equal to a million dollars).

It is difficult to say what this means for the poker industry in the United States, as the poker game remains banned in most states. Perhaps the situation will change in future, and then such a domain name will be very useful to the owner of poker site.

In 2017, poker.com was listed for sale for $20 000 000, but there were no buyers. Now, the site is non-operational. This domain belongs to the private individual in the UK.
