Asian Poker Tour organizers cancelled all tournament guarantees

Asian Poker Tour

The Asian Poker Tour is due to take place in Taiwan from March 4 to 15. The conducting of the tour turned out to be in question, owing to the coronavirus outbreak. The organizers have even wanted to postpone the event to May, but changed their minds.

Representatives of the Asian Poker Tour claim that the poker tour will take place on time after all. The tournament schedule wasn’t also changed, and there are 26 events to be held within the festival.

Although, the same cannot be said for the guarantees, since the organizers completely removed them from all the tournaments. There will also be two starting days in the Main Event, instead of three. Apparently, the representatives of the series decided to get reinsured in order to avoid the expected overlays.

The series will be carried out at the CTP Club, which, along with the Taiwan authorities, is taking all measures to prevent coronavirus diseases. According to the executive director, many players, who are not afraid of the outbreak, still attend this club.

Last year, the APT Taiwan tournament was held for the first time, and back then 3 251 players took part in it. It’s interesting how many participants will come this year, given the situation pertaining to the coronavirus.
