American poker player Chance Kornuth, who has three World Series bracelets and many other winnings, recently shared detailed memories of one of the most interesting and exciting poker sessions of his life.

This poker game happened a long time ago – 13 years ago to be exact. It was the first experience for a grinder in a private expensive game, and it immediately became successful and unforgettable. Chance managed to turn the starting amount of five thousand dollars into an incredible half a million, or more precisely, the profit was even a little more – 517 thousand dollars. And the most important: it lasted 69 hours straight!

How did it all happen?

  • Location: Dallas, luxury penthouse.
  • Participants: by invitation only, private game, small circle of invitees.
  • Limits: it all started with modest blinds of $25/$50, but then limits increased by agreement of the participants.
  • Discipline: Pot-limit Omaha.

According to Chance, he did very well in that game. It was, of course, difficult to play for so long. Coffee helped him (he drank an incredible amount), but the guy didn’t even touch alcohol so as not to lose concentration. For food, he constantly ate McDonald's snacks, which are filling and provide energy.

Kornuth took one short break, during which he brushed his teeth, washed his face, changed his clothes, and did a lot of push-ups. And so the player was again ready to increase his profit.

Chance said the desire to sleep was incredible, but the game was so good that it would be an unforgivable mistake. And it’s true: this 69-hour session brought him a huge profit of 517 thousand. And of course, a great story that can be told years later.
