Chidwick won in British Poker Open tournament
British poker player Stephen Chidwick continued his winning streak in 2019 in Pot-Limit Omaha tournaments. This time he won in the tournament of British Poker Open Series. Chidwick became the winner of Pot-Limit Omaha event with £25,000 buy-in and earned $249,038. He beat the players’ pool which consisted of 15 entries.
In a heads-up, Chidwick beat American player George Wolfe. The first place in Pot-Limit Omaha became the fourth winning for Stephen in the last seven tournaments. He earned £350,000 during this period.
This year, Stephen also won in PLO tournament with $25,000 buy-in at World Series of Poker. He earned $1,600,000 for the first place. After this tournament, he won in PLO event of U.S. Poker Open Series with $25,000 entry fee.
Stephen commented on his victory:
"I don’t think I have an edge. There are a lot of very experienced PLO players here. But I really enjoy playing PLO even though I don’t do it that much. Just try and do the best that I can."
George Wolfe earned $138,354 for the second place in Pot-Limit Omaha tournament. Sam Soverel took the 3rd place and got $73,789.
