Chris Moorman and Katie Lindsay

Usually at this time of year, the well-known poker pro Chris Moorman, who was ranked first in online tournament winnings, and his wife Katie Lindsay fought for the gold WSOP bracelet in Rio. But, after WSOP 2020 and 31 bracelet tournaments were decided to be held online at WSOP.com, the couple had to stay home in Las Vegas.

Katie states that they are lucky to be the owners of house on the lake. The couple are able to go kayaking or relax in the pool. She also said that they started to play the first WSOP tournament right in the pool with their neighbor Connor Drinan.

The first day of WSOP appeared to be very successful for them. Chris didn’t reach the prize zone of bracelet tournaments, but he managed to play in the two final tables of other events of the poker room even before the start of WSOP Event #1. Katie won WSOP Summer Special and earned $20 500, as well as reached ITM zone in the first bracelet event. She took the 149th place and got $1 003 of prize money. The next day, situation almost repeated: Chris reached another final table in the regular tournament, while Katie got the minimum prize money of WSOP event (122nd place and $1 571).

The couple is serious about the game and they plan to play in almost all the tournaments of series, with the possible exception of Omaha 8-or-better tournament. When 31 tournaments at WSOP.com will be held, they will travel to Mexico in the company of other professionals in order to start playing WSOP at GGPoker.

According to Lindsay’s words, Millionaire Maker will be the first event for them to play. They will have to miss several events, for example Colossus, due to the scheduling conflicts.

In order to play in WSOP tournaments outside the US, the couple and their poker friends have already rented a house in Mexico. There will be master chef and concierge, so many professional players will be able to focus on the game.

You can play WSOP tournaments not leaving your home. Register at GGPoker and get $100 in free tickets to WSOP Online.
