Australia's Crown Casino may lose license due to money laundering
Crown Casino is the most popular gambling establishment in Australia. The casino usually hosts Australia's largest poker series referred to as Aussie Millions, which will not take place next year for obvious reasons.
However, the other day it became known that this casino may lose its license due to suspicions of money laundering from local law enforcement officers.
The Government of the Australian state of Victoria has announced that they are ready to take "tough measures" against the casino if this information is confirmed.
Victoria state officials have appointed a point person to investigate the allegations and see whether the establishment may be licensed to provide gambling services.

The casino representatives admitted that one of their accounts could probably be used for money laundering and stated that they were ready to cooperate. Crown Resorts reported that they would continue to partner with the Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulation to help government authorities find the truth.
Gambling establishments undergo scheduled inspections every 5 years and the Crown Casino was checked two years ago, so if the information is confirmed, then it will be easier to detect the guilty ones. However, the casino risks losing its gambling license permanently.
