Dan Shak finished $3 200 WPT Omaha Hi-Lo in 2nd place

Dan Shak is a well-known poker professional who performs at high limits, but still calls himself an amateur player. His principal activity is a hedge fund, though Dan devotes most of his spare time to playing poker.

Having millions of dollars on record is definitely something to brag about. Throughout his career, Dan has won more than $10.5 million in live poker tournaments. His best cash came during the PCA in 2014, when he finished second in the $100 000 event and received an impressive payout of $1 178 000.

The other day, Dan again became a runner-up last night, but the payout he received was more modest. The player took part in the first championship event of the WPT Online at PartyPoker.

João Vieira, a leader in offline poker winnings in Brazil, also played at the final table. This time, his result was fourth place and $42 500 in prize money.

Dan Shak made it to the final heads-up, where he lost battle for the top prize to Paul-Francois Tedeschi. The runner-up was given $87 000, while the winner got $92 100.

What do we know about the champion? Paul Tedeschi was born in Bastia (France) but moved to London, where he now continues grinding at poker tables. Throughout his career, Tedeschi has earned about $3 000 000 in live tournaments, and the exact amount of prize money won online is unknown.

As for his recent successes, it’s worth noting second place in the WSOP 2019 H.O.R.S.E. tournament. Back then, Tedeschi lost the fight for a gold bracelet to Denis Strebkov. Also, Paul-Francois competed for victory in the Main Event WSOPE 2012 finals in Cannes. The player ended-up in 6th place and received $194 000 in prize money.
