Daniel Dvoress wins Super Million$ for $395 000
On the evening of May 11, Daniel Dvoress once again set off on a challenging mission, that is to win the Super Million$ at GGPoker. The Canadian has made 45 attempts to reach this goal: he played at the Super Million$ final table seven times and was very close to winning the event in January, but eventually finished it in third place.
Daniel's forty-fifth attempt was successful, as he managed to take down the $10 000 tournament at GGPoker. For that the Canadian received $395 000 in prize money and a champion title.
As far the tournament is concerned, it was held with an overlay for the second consecutive week: $90 000 was not enough to cover the claimed guarantee of $2 000 000. As an aside, overlays are becoming a tradition as summer approaches.
The final table line-up was very strong, just like always. Dvoress was joined by Ami Barer, Guillaume Nolet, Mike Watson and other poker professionals.

All eyes were turned to a player with the "McDavid97" nickname. The guy qualified for the tournament through a $500 satellite and had every chance of winning the event, but that did not happen.
At the outset of the final table, McDavid97 lost a lot of chips with pocket kings versus pocket aces to Nolet. That hand instantly turned him into a short stack, but "McDavid97" still managed to leave the game with a massive win of $248 000, taking third place.
DaiMing141319 started heads-up with a big stack advantage. But seasoned Dvoress managed to bend the game his way, after which he recorded his first career victory in the Super Million$. In the last hand, it took Daniel only an ace-high to win, as DaiMing141319 missed a flush draw.
