Daniel Negreanu: «One of the goals I set was to win the WSOP POY three times before anyone else did»
The other day, poker community has learned the name of the 2019 WSOP Player of the Year, and the title went to the poker legend Daniel Negreanu. It was a very interesting race since the leader was constantly changing, and the champion name was finalized in the last event of the WSOP Europe.

Before travelling to the WSOPE 2019, the guy informed his Twitter followers that he would post daily vlogs on his You-Tube channel telling about the series, tournaments, play strategies for each competition, etc.
Thus, in the 2019 WSOPE vlogs Day 24, the poker professional narrates on the WSOP Player of the Year title saying it was a real battle with motional ups and downs. Daniel doesn't hide his feelings since it was the main goal – to get the title. The guy is obviously happy to be the winner as it’s his third POY title.
“I’ve always been a big believer setting goals and reaching high. One of the goals I set was to win the WSOP POY three times before anyone else did”, said the player.
In this vlog, Negreanu also comments on Shaun Deeb and their old troubles related KidPoker’s marriage, recalls to most interesting moments and hands of the series and shares his results.
At the WSOPE 2019, Daniel played 72 events and made 24 cashes. As for the buy-ins, he spent $1 133 010 for entering the tournaments. The total amount of his prize money is equal to $2 210 502, which means that the player got $1 077 492 in profit. Watch the full video to know the details:
