Documentary film about Doyle Brunson's life to be released

Doyle Brunson needs no special introduction, as everyone poker player has probably heard about him. It was high time to make a documentary about this outstanding legend. So, it will happen soon.

Doyle wrote on his Twitter page that directors began filming a documentary about his life:

Previously, Brunson said about his plans to play in several tournaments at WSOP 2021. He won his last WSOP bracelet in 2005, but three years ago, the poker legend finished sixth in $10 000 bracelet event. There is a strong likelihood that Doyle will be filmed during his play at WSOP this autumn.

Brunson's life is full of stories, including his fight against cancer, gambling with Nick the Greek and his involvement with the corporation that took responsibility of battle against banker Andy Beal in the early 2000s. Phil Hellmuth is one of the players who will definitely appear in the documentary. It is worth noting that Hellmuth is the only player who has won more WSOP bracelets than Brunson.
