Hellmuth stopped a step away from the gold bracelet WSOPE 2019

Phil Hellmuth 2019

The €25 500 Mixed Games Championship at the WSOP Europe 2019 attracted many famous poker professionals: Phil Hellmuth, Dzmitry Urbanovich, Daniel Negreanu, Julien Martini and others. They all fought for the gold bracelet that was meant for the winner.

Alex Livingston was the first to leave the final table, and Daniel Negreanu went to rest right after him. The 6th place and €54 000 is clearly not what the poker legend expected to get.

The next players to leave the tournament in the fifth and fourth places were Julien Martini and Benny Glaser, respectively. At that moment, there were three players left in the event: Hellmuth, Urbanovich and Besim Hot.

Soon, Dzmitry’s stack became really short. Urbanovich eventually lost the all-in against Hellmuth and Hot and finished his performance in the third place, receiving €162 000 in prize money.

The final heads-up

Heads-up 2019

Phil Hellmuth and Besim Hot played in the final heads-up. For Hellmuth, this bracelet could be the sixteenth one in his career, and due to this fact, the situation at the table ran high. Unfortunately, he failed.

The finalists played the last hand in PLO format. Phil Hellmuth went all-in, and Besim Hot called, having collected a full house. The Swiss poker player became the champion of this tournament and won €385 000, and the runner-up received €238 000 in prize money.
