Hollywood actors will play in a charity tournament at PokerStars

Charity tournament at PokerStars

American celebrities like to play poker, both for entertainment and for charity. For example, in mid-April, a charity poker tournament was held at ACR in which the American celebrities took part.

Some days ago, PokerStars announced a charity tournament with the participation of famous Hollywood actors. Such celebrities as David Schwimmer, Edward Norton, Bryan Cranston, Hank Azaria and others will take part in it.

PokerStars will grant $1 000 000 as a prize pool. It also will add another $10 000 for every united star. The event will take place on 9 May at 19:00 UTC.

PokerStars fans will be randomly invited to the tournament in order to become the opponents of celebrities.

Hollywood stars and usual players will play separately up to two tables, and then the tables will be combined and the live broadcast with Zoom cameras will be launched.

Half of the total prize pool will be given to international charitable organization “CARE International”. Those stars who will take the higher places will be able fight for the second part of prize pool.

Celebrities who will manage to get into the prize zone will donate their prizes money to the charitable organizations of their choice.

All invited poker players will also donate their prizes to the charitable organization “CARE International”.

According to the words of organizers, the goal of given project was to help the international charitable organizations, as well as to provide help in a fight against spread of coronavirus infection.
