Sinead Davenport deserves a special mention. She reached the final table and put in all her efforts to become the first woman to receive such a champion title. However, she ultimately failed to win a big hand with pocket jacks and finished in 6th place. Her husband Matthew, however, ended up winning another event, the £500 GUKPT Cup.
After a long tense heads-up, Ravi Sheth deservedly received the championship title and £68,580. The GUKPT series has been very successful for this poker player, because in 2023 he managed to win two tournaments. This upswing continued this year. Ravi successfully performed in the stages of the series in London and Luton, and now achieved maximum success in Blackpool.
