Jamie Morris Crowned UKPL Main Event Champion
One of the main events of the 888poker Live Coventry festival has ended – namely, the Main Event was played and now it is known who managed to win it. The champion was the English poker player Jamie Morris and this is undoubtedly his main achievement in his career and the largest prize money to date.
Previously, Jamie's best result was winning £2,520 in 2007. He can often be seen in various events at series throughout the UK, and he prefers offline play.
The UKPL Main Event was held as a two-day tournament, and 35 players moved on to the second day. Before that, several starting days with different formats were held. For example, only 8 participants were able to move on from Day 1a. And the final was held on Sunday, October 3, until the main champion was determined.

In the end, Jamie managed to beat the overall field of 224 entries, and his final prize was an impressive amount of £19,831. The first place prize was originally £23,000, but the three finalists made a lucrative deal on 3-max and then continued the game on their own terms.
The heads-up was very long and tense. But in the end, Dan Scridon still took second place and received almost 16 thousand for this achievement.
