Jans Arends Claimed his First GGMillion$ Title
Another battle of high rollers in the $10,300 GGMillion$ ended with the victory of Dutch poker pro Jans Arends (who currentle resides in Austria). The WSOP bracelet winner won his first title and added almost $270,000 to his GGPoker winnings.
Some numbers on the last "Millions": 124 entries were made to the tournament, and the prize pool was $1,240,000. A total of 15 players made it to ITM.
In May of this year, Jans Arends visited The Mechanics of Poker podcast where he lamented that he "never learned how to win $10,000+ tournaments". Apparently, there will be no more regrets on that matter.
Already at the beginning of the final table, the Dutch had a great luck – first he won a big pot with KK against QQ of "Clickwork". And in the next hand, he took another 45 BB from the Brazilian Pedro Padilla (QQ vs TT). In heads-up, Arends took the title from Canadian Thomas Bowen, who received $210,435 in prize money.
