Jorryt van Hoof 2020

This week, Dutch poker player Jorryt van Hoof has two reasons to rejoice: the guy became engaged to his fiancée Sophie and took down the A$25 000 PLO tournament at the Aussie Millions.

For getting the victory in the event, Jorryt received $322 000 in prize money, and this allowed him to jump to the top of the list of the most profitable players in the Netherlands.

Throughout his career, the guy has earned $5 600 000 in live events, but the lion's share of this amount ($3 807 000) the Dutchman received for the third place in the Main Event WSOP 2014.

Since then (over the next 5 years), Jorryt hasn't been able to win more than $300 000 in one event. The situation changed at the A$25 000 PLO Challenge that was held as part of the Aussie Millions.

Following the victory, journalists asked to describe his feelings, but the player was calm enough. Jorryt said that the engagement means much more to him than winning the tournament. The guy also added that he is very happy and loves his Sophie.

Stephen Chidwick at the final table

Perhaps the best known player at the final table was Stephen Chidwick. The Briton shows excellent results in live tournaments and often tops prestigious rankings.

This time Chidwick wasn't able to show the highest results, as he finished the event in the fifth place.

Final heads-up

The final battle opened its "doors" to Jorryt van Hoof and Hun Lee. Jorryt used his twofold advantage in the stack and managed to "get the job done" successfully.

Full house brought victory to Jorryt, and straight made Hun Lee a runner-up of this event. The Dutchman took the main prize of $322 000, and the Australian was given $205 000 for the second place.
