Justin Bonomo is the world's most profitable tournament player

Justin Bonomo

American poker pro Justin Bonomo was considered the most profitable tournament player in 2018 and 2019 (according to the Hendonmob data).

Nevertheless, his colleague Bryn Kenney soon managed to break Justin's record and took this title from him. However, Justin didn’t waste time in vain and actively worked on his play. As a result, his efforts bore fruit.

Yesterday, Bonomo and Kenney fought in the Five Diamond World Poker Classic tournament with a huge buy-in of $103 000 and $1 900 000 prize pool. Kenney failed to get ITM zone, but Bonomo became the winner and earned $928 200. Thus, Justin was ahead of Kenney in the number of total prize money won and topped the All-Time Money List again.

Moreover, in the last hand for Kenney, he lost his stack to Bonomo. Justin went all-in with A♦-A♣ and Kenney called with Q♣-Q♠. The flop with Q♦-6♦-2♦ was pretty good for Bryn. The blank card 9♠ on the turn didn’t change situation, but K♦ on the river brought Bonomo a flush combination, so he took Kenney's stack.

Jason Koon became a runner-up of tournament and received $677 800 after the deal in heads-up. Dan Smith also entered the top three and enriched with $304 000.
