Kahle Burns wins $416 000 in the Poker Masters tournament

Kahle Burns has won a tournament at the Poker Masters series. In the final heads-up, the Australian overcame the current champion Ali Imsirovic and thanks to this, joined the race for the purple bracelet.

Following this triumph, Kahle got closer to the Purple Jacket title. Sean Winter, Chance Kornuth and Sam Soverel also have good chances to get it.

«If you look at the final table today, everyone’s been there before and it’s a jovial bunch and guys that don’t mind having a laugh. Things are pretty chill even though we’re playing for a lot of money. I think it makes the experience much more enjoyable instead of a bunch of robots in a staring contest and I definitely enjoy the table talk», said Burns after winning the event.

Ali Imsirovic started the final table as a chip leader, but soon the situation changed. Ali began to lose large pots over and over and eventually lost the leadership.

Alex Foxen was the first of the six finalists who left the event, and David Peters eliminated from the tournament right after him. Their prize money turned out to be less than $100 000.

The top five was closed by Elio Fox, who finished the competition in the fifth place. Sam Soverel and Sean Winter stopped a step away from the heads-up – they took fourth and third places, respectively. In the last hand of the event, Imsirovic went all-in having Q-K against Burns shoving with A-J, but failed the fight. Ali Imsirovic lost not only this tournament, but also the race for the Purple Jacket.
