Leon Tsoukernik won $174 000 in Super MILLION$ event at GGPoker

Leon Tsoukernik 2020

Leon Tsoukernik is a successful businessman, whose name is well-known in the poker world. He owns one of the most famous casinos in Europe – King's Casino in Rozvadov. It's no secret that Tsoukernik broke into the poker industry because of his passion for gambling.

Leon can be often seen at poker tables of expensive tournaments. The other day, he played an online event Super Million$ with a $10 000 buy-in and a $ 2 000 000 guarantee that was carried out at GGPoker.

The $10 000 Super Million$ lasts two days during which participants fight for their share of an impressive prize pool. In total, the high roller event collected only 192 entries, which led to an overlay of $80 000.

Many world-renowned poker players took part in this tournament, but we will only consider results of those who managed to get in the money and finished their participation close to the final table:

  • Mikita Badziakouski (17th place and $29 880)
  • Jakob Schindler (16th place and $29 880)
  • David Peters (11th place and $36 000)

Kristen Bicknell, Alex Foxen, Pascal Lefrancois, Elio Fox, and Michael Addamo left the action shortly before the ITM zone began. Wiktor Malinowski turned out to be the most unlucky participant, as he finished in 27th place and became a bubble boy of the event.

GGPoker brand ambassador Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier started the final table with the shortest stack. He failed to change the situation to his advantage and as a result, the guy took eighth place and earned $58 000.

Famous high roller Stephen Chidwick was a chip leader of the final table, but something went wrong, and he quickly lost his stack finishing the event in seventh place, which brought him $76 000. This is obviously not the result Stephen expected to reach given that he made 4 re-entries worth $10 000 each.

Leon Tsoukernik showed a little better result than Chidwick, but also failed to reach the heads-up. The King’s Casino owner took fourth place, having received $174 000 in prize money.

Then, one more player busted, and Pascal Hartmann along with the player from India with the "Resurge" nickname started fighting for the main prize. The Indian player turned out to be stronger: he defeated Pascal and got the victory.

The winner received a payout of $397 000, which became the best online cash in his career. According to PokerShark, Resurge started playing at GGPoker in May of this year, but his play wasn’t profitable.
