Managing director of construction company won a Platinum Pass at PokerStars
In August 2020, Barcelona will house a massive poker event – PSPC 2020. There will be exciting tournaments held with great guarantees, and many poker stars will be at the tables.
Since not every player is able to afford to take part in this championship, PokerStars traditionally raffles free packages to the PSPC cost $30K. Another Platinum Pass went to Amel Husnic, who has won the free ticket as part of the Platinum Madness promotion that was carried out during February at Stars.
Who is Amel Husnic?
Amel Husnic is a 32-year-old cash game player, originally from the State of Hesse (Germany). The guy first tried playing poker at the age of 17 with his friends when they had a barbecue. A year later, Amel began to play at Full Tilt and PokerStars for play money only, but then he switched to games for real money. Thus, a simple game turned into a hobby.
In addition to poker, he also tried his hand in sports betting and even reached great success in that field of gambling. However, with the passage of time, Husnic started to be engaged in some business, meaning the guy couldn’t spend much time at the poker table. Currently, he works in a building company and is a partner in that very firm.

According to the player, he prefers cash games to tournaments, as there is not much free time due to the busy working schedule. Amel usually acts in online games starting from $25 to $100 (no limit).
Getting the Platinum Pass
On one of the February’s days, Amel Husnic was playing a game session at PokerStars (nickname Liska_1987) when he received a message, stating that he won the Platinum Pass. The interesting thing about this situation is that Amel didn’t realize from the start he was awarded a free package to the PSPC:
«A pop-up window opened, but I thought this was a ticket for a freeroll and I clicked it away to concentrate on my cash-game session. I also deleted PokerStars’ first email because I thought it was some kind of advertisement».
After Stars staff sent him a few emails, Husnic finally understood that those pop-up he closed included notification on winning the Platinum Pass. The guy didn't know much about the PSPC, but when Amel browsed some information on the Internet he got really happy to receive such a great bonus.
Last year, a 30-year-old player from Spain, Ramon Colillas, was able to turn a free ticket into $5 million, which means that Amel Husnic may be the next PSPC champion.
