Millions Online: two finalists got $2 200 000 each
Millions Online, a tournament with the largest prize pool of $21 000 000, has ended at PartyPoker. There was a serious fighting for such big money, and only the strongest players entered the final table.
One player stood out among the finalists. It was the EPT founder and member of the PartyPoker Team Pro, John Duffy. The guy showed a great game, but he wasn’t able to become the winner. John finished the event in the fifth place, having taken $869 000 in prize money.
The finalists made a deal
When there were only three participants in the game, they started to discuss splitting, but one of the players was against it. Ironically, he was the first to get out of the game.
When «nomeansyes» had 14 BB left, he went all-in with Q-J, and «frenchsniperrr» called the bet having A-Q.
The board showed 7-7-7-K-10, and the «nomeansyes» wasn’t happy with this. The guy finished the tournament in the third place, for which he received $1 370 000.
In under a minute, the two finalists decided not to play the heads-up and split the prize money. The «frenchsniperrr» and the «Lucio» took $2 200 000 each and the tournament officially ended.
