Niklas Astedt became a runner-up of $10 300 Super Million$ at GGPoker
A total of 222 players took part in the latest Super Million$ at GGPoker, which ended on January 5th. Thanks to a $10 300 buy-in, the event generated a prize pool of $2 220 000. The final lasted for about an hour, after which the winner’s name became known.
Before the final table began, bookmakers considered Niklas Astedt to be the main favorite. Lena900 was second in terms of the chip count, and no one doubted his poker skills. It makes sense that the most money was bet on his victory, but Darren Elias turned out to be luckier than Astedt.

It’s worth mentioning the famous high roller Adrian Mateos who finished the event in sixth place. The player received $122 000 in prize money.
But, all eyes were on Niklas Astedt. The guy confidently reached the final heads-up where he met with Darren Elias. The rivals were on the same footing, but, in the last hand, Niklas' plan to win the event failed.
Lena900 moved all-in with pocket queens and was called by Elias who had A-7. On the flop, Astedt had 85% winning odds, but an ace that appeared on the turn secured Darren’s victory. As a runner-up, Niklas received a massive payout of $346 100, while Elias took around $449 000 for first place. For now, it’s the biggest prize money in his poker career.
