PartyPoker introduced a new Sunday tournament with $500 000 GTD

Earlier in July, PartyPoker informed their players that the $215 PartyPoker Million with $1 000 000 GTD will no longer be carried out in the room. It will be replaced by a new Sunday tournament – PartyPoker Main with a $109 buy-in and a $500 000 guarantee.

The structure of this event is almost identical to the PartyPoker Million. To qualify for the finals, one needs to play qualifying flights that are available in the room throughout the week.

Basic information on PartyPoker Main

• Guarantee: $500 000.
• Buy-in: $109.
• One re-entry per day is allowed.
• Qualifying flights: take place daily at 6 pm and 10 pm (UTC).
• Final: on Mondays at 6 pm (UTC).

PartyPoker Main Structure

Qualifying tournaments through which you can get to the finals are carried out during the week at 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm (UTC). Blinds grow every 15 minutes in the first flight and 7 minutes in the second one, meaning that the second flight (at 10:00 pm) is more suitable for those who like turbo blind structures.

To qualify for the finals, you need to reach level 20. Those who succeed will be automatically registered to the final day of the event, which takes place on Mondays.

Please note that players will play the final day under their real names. Blinds will grow every 20 minutes.

If you don’t want to secure a spot in the finals through a grid of qualification tournaments, there is an opportunity to enter the PartyPoker Main by paying a direct buy-in of $109. For this amount, poker players will receive a 1 000 000 stack, and the blinds will start at 150 000/300 000.

Satellites to PartyPoker Main

Players who are used to playing lower limits also have a chance to enter this tournament. The room offers lots of satellites for $11 and $22, which can be found in the poker lobby. Each of these events guarantees 5 direct tickets to the PartyPoker Main.

PartyPoker Main is almost identical to the PartyPoker Million. The last such events were held with overlays, therefore PartyPoker decided to replace it with a tournament whose guarantee is $500K. Now, PartyPoker Main will be affordable to a wider range of players.
