Phil Ivey Personally Brought a $1,000,000 Buy-in to the Wynn Casino

Phil Ivey to play WPT Big One for One Drop

As it is known, the WPT Championship with a record total guarantee of $40,000,000 will be held this December. As part of this series, Las Vegas will also host the Big One for One Drop grand event with an equally grand buy-in of $1,000,000.

And now, the name of the first participant of the tournament, ready to pay a million dollars, became known – quite expectedly, it is a famous WPT ambassador Phil Ivey. The organizers of the series made a small show out of it, demonstrating how the legendary poker player effectively buys in the Wynn casino.

Ivey's confident look in the video doesn't quite match his performance in past One Drop events. He never made it into the money in 2018, and this summer the Poker Hall of Famer fell two spots short of the ITM zone in the EveryOne for One Drop tournament.

«The Big One is really about high stakes. Any poker player's game changes when they compete in the biggest buy-in tournament in WPT history», – commented the high roller during the press release.

Maybe this time Phil will have better luck and be able to increase the number of prizes and titles won in his career. After his success at the Triton Poker London series, the poker player has more than $40,000,000 won.

The Big One for One Drop event will take place from December 18 to 20. According to the organizers, this year the tournament will have a very small rake, and 6% of every buy-in will go to the One Drop Foundation.
