PokerStars launches separate rakeback system in India
It has been almost three years since the top poker room PokerStars launched a new loyalty program called Star Rewards, in which the poker players receive chests with prizes instead of a usual cashback.
The Stars’ team decided to change this rakeback system, though only for players in India. In place of normal rewards, all the PokerStars.in players will receive cash prizes when opening Star Rewards chests.
In addition to returning the usual rakeback, its size will be fixed for the poker players in India. For example, you can compare rakeback in cash equivalent provided at main Stars’ platform and at PokerStars.in:

When compared with usual Stars, where a prize, “hidden” in the chest, also depends on the probability of its occurrence, the rakeback will be the same at PokerStars.in. However, the conditions for obtaining a specific chest for each player will be different.
PokerStars India made this choice because the room takes only the 4th place in terms of traffic among all poker rooms in the country. Thus, by simplifying the rakeback system, PokerStars wants to attract as many Indian players as possible.
