PokerStars Sees Spanish Sensation Juan Pardo Claiming New Title
This weekend, famous high roller Juan Pardo nearly repeated the feat he accomplished in September at the WCOOP series. Then the Spanish "grind monster" earned two championship titles in a couple of hours and replenished the account by almost $600,000.
This time, everything did not go so smoothly, but it was no less effective. During Sunday's session on PokerStars, the Spaniard stormed into the $1,050 Sunday Super Sonic regular tournament. The event with a guarantee of $40,000 collected only 37 entries, so a small overlay was present.
As a result, Pardo added another one to his extensive collection of Stars titles, along with $16,714 in prize money.
But the Spaniard's adventures on PokerStars did not end there. After about a couple of hours, he found himself at the final table of the $5,200 Titans Event. This tournament turned out to be much more popular, collecting 64 entries and $320,000 in prize money.
It is worth noting that Neymar also took part in this event (this is the tournament that he plays regularly and often shows good results). However, this time he failed to get into the ITM zone.
Pardo had every chance to repeat his achievement, earning two titles with a short interval, but something went wrong – and the hero finished in fourth place (+$36,292 in prize money). The victory and $86,371 went to a little-known player from Malta "Haringbuis".
This time the "double blow" did not work out. But thanks to a profit in the amount of $53,000, it seems that the Spaniard had a really nice weekend session.
