PokerStars Sunday Million popularity is plummeting
Every week we are following the results of the most popular Sunday online event - the Sunday Million on PokerStars, and this year we have monitored some sad tendency for PokerStars. After buy-in of the tournament was two times decreased (since the end of January), each new Sunday Million started to collect fewer entries than the previous one.
This is evident from the tournament statistics:
- January 27 – 15 500 entries (prize fund $1 555 000)
- February 3 – 13 228 entries (prize fund $1 322 800)
- February 10 – 12 371 entries (prize fund $1 237 100)
- February 17 – 11 732 entries (prize fund $1 173 200)
- February 24 – 11 559 entries (prize fund $1 155 900)
- March 03 – 11 525 entrances (prize fund $1 152 500)
- March 10 - 10 469 entries (prize fund $1 046 900)

At this pace, the Sunday Million at PokerStars will soon take place with overlays or they will have to return the old buy-in to cover the promised guarantee.
Formerly, in order to beat the guarantee of the Sunday Million PS, it was necessary to collect 5 000 entries, now - not fewer than 10 000.
