PokerStars will hold Sunday Million with $2 000 000 guarantee
Early in the year, PokerStars reduced the buy-in for the key Sunday Million tournament from $109 to $54.5. This decision made the tournament more accessible for the players with a small bankroll. Not a single tournament has ever been held with an overlay.
This Sunday, PokerStars decided to attract the players with its tournament by means of increasing the guarantee from $1 000 000 to $2 000 000. On 5 April, you will be able to fight for such a guarantee after paying $109 buy-in.
The event will last two game days. It starts on Sunday at 17:00 UTC and in 9 hours it will be put on pause. The remaining players can return to online tables on Monday at 17:00 UTC.
Sunday Million high popularity
Recently, the online poker traffic has grown dramatically. This has also had an impact on the attendance of Sunday Million. On 29 March, the tournament collected 23 134 entries. This number is quite high compared to the number of participants in Sunday Million before the quarantine.

In this tournament, heads-up finalists made a deal and shared $310 000 of prize money. The total prize pool of tournament reached the mark of $2 331 000. It means that $1 000 000 guarantee was beaten by more than twofold:
