PokerStars.es to host Carnaval Series with a €10 000 000 guarantee

PokerStars.es will soon host a massive Carnaval Series with a €10 000 000 guarantee. The series will take place from February 21st to March 7th, with tournament buy-ins ranging between €5 and €250.

More than half of the events will be carried out in a progressive knockout format. Players will mainly compete in No Limit Hold'em tournaments, but there will be also 10 Omaha events.

The series is to kick off with the €10 Progressive KO Carnaval Special Classic on February 21st. Its guarantee amounts to €300 000, making this tourney the largest poker event worth €10 in Southern Europe. Satellites are available starting from 0.50 euros.

The series starts next week, but phased entries have already been launched in the Spanish version of Stars:

• €10 phase to the tournament with €150 000 GTD (Day 2 on February 22nd)
• €50 phase to the tournament with €500 000 GTD (Day 2 on March 11th)
• €5 phase to the tournament with €150 000 GTD (Day 2 on March 11th)

The key tournament of the Carnaval Series will be the €250 Main Event with a €500 000 guarantee. The event kicks off on March 7th, and players are allowed to do only 1 re-entry.

The levels will last 12 minutes, and the blinds will increase (x2) every fourth level. The tournament will run for two days, and Day 2 will finish on March 8th, so the winners will be able to make an excellent gift to their ladies.

Carnaval Spin&Go’s

Until the 7th of March, Stars will also run special Spin&Go’s with a prize pool providing tickets for the Carnival Series tourneys. On March 12th, following the completion of the Carnaval Series, all €250 tickets will be converted to regular MTT tickets within 72 hours.
