Russell Crowe's "Poker Face" movie coming this fall
Soon the community can look forward to another poker movie with popular movie actors. The poker industry is getting deeper into the movies and in recent years more poker-themed movies have been made.
In addition to documentaries about famous players who have written their names in poker history, a lot of feature films have been filmed lately.
Among them is the upcoming film "Poker Face", which was produced by popular New Zealand film actor Russell Crowe. He also played the main role in it.
In the film, Russell will play a billionaire poker player who decides to organize a high-stakes game in his house. According to the plot, his hero learns that his personal enemy will come to the game and the character of Russell Crowe decides to take revenge on him.

The film should play a big role in popularizing poker around the world, due to the participation of very famous actors in it. Liam Hemsworth and Natalie Portman also took part in the filming. Of course, there will most likely not be much poker in the film itself. Poker will act in this film more as a connecting link in the plot, but it is still too early to speak with 100% certainty.
The film was supposed to be fully filmed a year ago, but six days before the end of filming, one of the members of the group was diagnosed with a coronavirus and the process was slightly delayed.
Nevertheless, it has already become known that Chicken Soup for the Soul Entertainment has bought the rights to the film and is preparing it for distribution.
«We’ve been big fans of the story since we first read it years ago, and Russell has crafted that into the entertaining adventure that we know audiences will love experiencing soon», – claimed the representative of Chicken Soup for the Soul.
"Poker Face" is set to hit theaters on November 16th, and it could be released digitally on November 22nd. It's been a long time since there were poker movies with stars of this magnitude, so the movie promises to be interesting anyway.
