Second win for Michael Addamo at Triton Series Madrid
The hot Triton Poker Series brings together truly legendary players at the tournament tables in Madrid.
So in the event with a buy-in of €75 000 ($79 200), a truly stellar line-up of poker players appeared at the final table.
A field of 63 players made it possible to make a prize pool of almost 5 million dollars to the winners of the tournament. And that was Michael Addamo who won the second major tournament at this series.
The Australian earned another series title and $1 209 690 in prize money. British poker player Stephen Chidwick lost heads-up but eventually got even more than the champion thanks to a heads-up deal. Interestingly, at the beginning of the heads-up it was Stephen who had a huge chip advantage. However, this did not stop Michael from pulling out a victory in battle, albeit after a deal.
The fourth was Daniel Dvoress with a payout of $525 520. He was followed by the Hungarian high roller Laszlo Bujtas in fifth place. Jason Koon was sixth, followed by the eccentric and popular Lithuanian-born poker player Antanas Guoga, also known as "Tony G", in seventh place.
