Super High Roller Bowl Australia champion was determined

Timothy Adams 2020

The other day, the Super High Roller Bowl worth A$250 000 ($167 940) ended in Australia. The event gathered 16 entries that formed a prize pool of A$4 000 000A ($2 687 000).

Poker player from Canada, Timothy Adams, became the tournament champion, having added A$2 160 000 ($1 449 000) to his total live poker earnings. The runner-up of the event was Kahle Burns, who was given A$1 200 000 ($806 118) for the 2nd place.

Overall, only 3 players got in the money. The third and last participant to receive prize money was Cary Katz, whose payout amounted to A$640 000 ($429 920).

There were 5 players to fight in the final day of the event. US poker player Elio Fox was the chip leader – he had one third of all the chips that were in the game, but after several big losses, Kahle Burns eliminated him from the tournament in the fifth place.

Burns did not stop there, shortly after Fox, he managed to knock out another poker player from the USA – Aaron Van Blarcum, who became a bubble boy, having taken the fourth place.

Cary Katz played well, trying to stay afloat and reach the heads-up, but Kahle Burns literally «crushed» Cary with his stack.

Kahle Burns started the heads-up having big advantage in stack: 2.5 million chips versus 1.1 million chips of Timothy Adams.

The «fierce struggle» lasted as long as 3 hours, until Adams raised from the button with an A-9 (suited), Burns went all-in with Q-J of the same suit. The flop showed A, and the turn brought the card, which eventually enshrined Timothy's victory in the tournament.

Throughout his life, Timothy Adams has earned over $19 168 000 in live tournaments.  His biggest prize money in career is $3 536 550 for winning the super high roller tournament at the Triton Super High Roller Series 2019 in Jeju.
