The first U.S. Poker Open event was held successfully
U.S. Poker Open is back after a two year hiatus! The first $10 000 buy-in tournament was a success with 95 entries. At the moment, this is a record number of entries in the series.
The event was attended by a large number of famous poker players. Among those who played, but did not enter the prizes, were Daniel Negreanu, Nick Petrangelo, Alex Foxen and others. Among those who played at the final table were Stephen Chidwick, Sergi Reixach, Barry Hutter and others.

In the heads-up, the audience saw the battle between Jake Daniels and Dan Shak. The key hand was the hand in which Shak lost 75% of the chips in his stack. He made a straight, but Jake showed a higher straight, which allowed Daniels to win a huge pot.
On the last hand of the tournament, Dan moved all-in with K-7, and Jake called with A-3. The flop came A-K-J, the turn was 8, and the river was 5. For Shak, the result was a second place, and Daniels became a champion with $218 000 in prize money.
