The number of participants in one of the most exciting events of the year – the $1,000,000 Big One for One Drop tournament – continues to grow. We have already written about the fact that the first person who rushed to register in this competition was Phil Ivey himself, who personally brought money for the starting fee. Later, six more famous players joined him.
And today the number of registered participants is already 13 poker players. Among the "newcomers" there are the following:
- Jason Koon is one of the best grinders today with $52,600,000 in career winnings. Koon already participated in such a championship in 2018, but did not manage to make it to the ITM zone;
- Aleksejs Ponakovs is the most famous Latvian player and a regular participant in high-stakes tournaments. He has $13,400,000 in offline prize money for his career. This will be his debut in such an event.

These players and not only them will be fighting for the title in the fifth-ever Big One for One Drop, which will be held in December in conjunction with the WPT Championship Festival in Las Vegas. The first such tournament took place in 2014. At the time, 48 entries were made, and the winner, Antonio Esfandiari, earned the top 2 payout in poker history of $18,346,673. And the last time it was held in 2018, with 27 entries in the competition. The winner was Justin Bonomo, who received $10,000,000 in prize money.
