Who misses the WSOP bracelet most often?
After Negreanu once again finished second in the bracelet tournament, he wondered – «isn’t it me to be the most frequent runner-up of the World Series of Poker?». As it turned out, that’s almost about right. We checked statistics of the players who most often took second place at the WSOP and this is what we figured out.
Phil Hellmuth is not only the record holder on the number of wins at the World Series of Poker, but also the player who most frequently finished second. The legendary PokerBrat has recorded 10 second places. It means, if he had won every time he reached the heads-up, then he would have got not 15, but 25 WSOP bracelets so far.
In addition, Phil has twice taken the third place and 34 times finished WSOP event in range from 4th to 9th. This means that in total the guy has played at the WSOP final tables 62 times. It’s a very impressive result.
Daniel Negreanu is ranked next after Hellmuth in terms of number of taking second place at the WSOP. He has become a runner-up of the bracelet tournaments nine times. If KidPoker had won every heads-up he reached, then he would have been equal in trophies to Hellmuth and gotten 15 bracelets.
