WPT Montreal to hold a tournament in honor of Mike Sexton

Legendary commentator and poker player Mike Sexton passed away last year. The poker legend fought for life having terminal cancer, but lost the battle...

Many famous players acknowledged that if it weren't for Sexton, the poker game would not be what it is now. Mike made an invaluable contribution to the development and popularization of poker, therefore, PartyPoker will host a tournament in his honor.

The Mike Sexton Classic is scheduled for January 31st, 7:05 p.m. (UTC); it will be carried out as part of the WPT Montreal. The event buy-in is $10 300, and players will compete for their share of an impressive $1 000 000 guaranteed prize pool.

The final day, which will take place on February 1st, will be shown live on Youtube. James Dempsey and Henry Kilbane will act as commentators, and there will be also a special guest – Sam Trickett.

Centroll with a guarantee of 5x $11 tickets → Phase 1 (10% will go to Phase 2 worth $109) → Phase 2 (10% will go to Final Phase worth $1 050) → Sunday Final Phase with a guarantee of 20 tickets to the $10 300 Mike Sexton Classic.
