WSOP champion to donate all of his winnings to charity
We recall that the live series WSOP 2021 is currently being held in Las Vegas, and many bracelet tournaments have already been played.
A total of 800 poker players took part in the WSOP Event #48, which helped form a $1 068 000 prize pool. The tournament was carried out in a shootout format: each table had one winner, and then the winners met in the next knockout rounds to determine a champion.
Gershon Distenfeld was lucky to take down Event #48. He is going to donate all of his winnings to charity, and this is quite an impressive amount: $204 000.

Gershon appealed to other World Series of Poker participants to follow suit. He invites each bracelet owner to donate 1% of their prize money to the charity of their choice, as believes it won't hit their budget hard.
When heads-up began, Schumacher had almost double the chips as Distenfeld, but Gershon was not going to lose easily. The two found themselves at the first possible denouement for the end of the tournament when Schumacher shoved 2-2 against Distenfeld's A-10. The turn brought an ace, and Distenfeld stayed in the game.
The fate of WSOP trophy was determined in the following hand: Johan moved all-in holding Q-10 and was called by Gerson with Q-4. The flop brought A-Q-7. The four on the turn gave Gershon two pair, thus securing his victory in the event.
