WSOP Event #13 champion is determined
The $5 000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship final table (WSOP Event #13) lasted about two hours, which was enough to determine the winner. It was Vincas Tamasauskas from Lithuania. The guy captured $269 000 and his first career gold bracelet.
In total, the event collected 267 entries, and 39 players got in the money. The prize pool, by the way, amounted to $1 268 250. The final table featured representatives of seven different countries, and it was difficult to predict who would emerge victorious.
There were no well-known poker players at the final table, except for GGPoker Omaha Squad Fernando Habegger. He took the third place for $140 000, which could but please his "shareholders".
Fernando’s heads-up opponent was Ben Lakatos from Hungary. In the last hand, Tamasauskas made a full house holding 9-2, which eventually brought him one of his biggest career victories in terms of prize money.
