Friday – Cardmates Freeroll on GGPoker

Hі everyone!

We’re currently searching for a new home for our private community freerolls, but in the meantime the Friday games on GGPoker are still going strong. That means we’ve got another one ready for you tonight!

The Cardmates Freeroll (Fan) with a $150 GTD kicks off at 8pm (UK time) and is open to everyone who has Fan status on the site.

We’ve been told that all the tickets should already be credited to your accounts.

Just a quick reminder of the key details about our private GGPoker tournaments:

  • The tourney shows up in the GG lobby two hours before kick-off. So you’ll see it there from 6pm.
  • We send the list of eligible players to GGPoker every Monday. If you’ve got «Fan» status but no ticket, chances are you didn’t register your GG nickname on Cardmates.co.uk in time.
  • How to register your GG nickname? Click your avatar ➡️ Go to «Status» ➡️ You’ll see the field where you can add your GGPoker nickname. Simple as that.
If you’ve got any questions about our community freerolls, just drop a private message to our mod: d19932808 (he’ll sort you out).

The Nights It Actually Clicked – One of my Tournament Wins I Least Expected

A couple of weeks ago, I experienced something every poker player chases

Top tournament winner....

It wasn’t just any game either. The field was competitive, the pressure was real, and every stage of the tournament demanded focus. From the very first hand, I knew this wasn’t going to be an easy ride but something felt different.

I was locked in.

Early on, I played tight and patient, picking my spots carefully and avoiding unnecessary risks. While others were getting knocked out trying to force action, I stayed disciplined and let the game come to me. Bit by bit, my stack started to grow.

As the tournament progressed, the intensity increased.

The middle stages tested my decision-making the most. Blinds were rising, players were becoming more aggressive, and every move mattered. I had a few tough moments hands where I had to make difficult folds and others where I had to trust my instincts and commit.

And then came the final table.

Nine players left. Different energy. Different stakes. This is where the tournament really began.

What happened next wasn’t what I planned, but it’s exactly what I needed.

Campions League Took Over My Poker Night…

Well… this wasn’t how I expected things to go.

I had everything planned for the $100 tournament this Wednesday. I was ready, focused, and honestly excited to take on the challenge and see how far I could go. I even shared it here, looking forward to updating you all with my progress.

But then, there was a Clash.

The champions League Match and the poker tournament fell on the same time which I couldn't miss

The match this evening was intense that I just couldn’t pull myself away from. One game led to another, the tension kept building, and before I knew it… the tournament had already started without me.

And just like that, I missed it.

The grind doesn’t stop though.

I’ll be looking out for the next tournament. For now, we reset and move forward.

Did anyone here end up playing the tournament ?
