Bad beat…. So close!
Hi again Cardmates,
My release today is one of frustration of what could have been……
I recently deposited for the first time on ACR poker as I found they have a great community on Twitch with plenty of giveaways and fun stuff!
I entered a $1.10 PKO and was running good after no luck for a couple of days
It was all going well, I ran deep into the tournament with over $2 in KO’s . It was close to the ITM and I got 66 on the BB it was raised up around to me by two players so I called……
The flop came 3 6 4 I thought get in……

Player2 AI
at this point I’m in a frenzy of excitement,
I flopped a set went AI this was probably for the chip lead in the tournament just before the ITM!
We had a three way AI and the Cards were revealed…..

I thought I’ve got this, the chip lead just before the ITM only to be rivered by a 2.
Tournament OVER! Devastating!
What could have been, but my only positive is I doubled up with KO’s

The minute you said the hands I thought the 5's with a straight using that 6 that made your trips, that must have sickened you to the core. You got your money in good if it's any consolation long term you made the profitable play, you get paid nearly 7 out of 10 times, so don't let that bad runout dishearten you. Get me being all positive when I run like a broken trainwreck! The split equity may be wrong as I don't know what suits were covered so tried to take the flush split equity out by giving you all same suit and a rainbow flop lol.

Just one thought, it's something I have to remind myself of too and it may not be applicable in this instance. If you had the opportunity to ship first you should have. You have zero fold equity when you are calling an all-in, whereas if you had shoved first you may have budged the winning hand off their draw. Likesay may not have had the chance, either way it's a bad run out, ~1 in 4 for the 5's vs your 6.6 in 10 shot 🤢
FYI I'd have budged, pot odds do not outweigh the equity enough 🤓 The worse hand at the flop the 10's would have still shipped as had an overpair. Wish this had been the case when I went out in the top 40 last night shipping top pair into the limped cowboys, eat my trips, if only ⚱️⚰️💀
