BEST BOOKS TO LEARN POKER

Recently got into poker, playing mostly house games. I’m alright at those, but I play online micro stakes and get destroyed. To learn to play online micro stakes, is it better to read books such as the ones below, or is watching videos online going to be more helpful?

Some books I found :

  • The Grinder's Manual
  • Mastering Small Stakes – Jonathan Little
  • Applications of No-Limit Hold'em

How recent? Poker is a game where anyone can beat anyone in any given hand due to luck but with experience you learn how to manage all the situations until you have all the chips with as little luck involved as you can possibly make it. I would suggest keeping a good bankroll for the micros and occasionally taking a shot at a higher game when you boost your bank roll with some wins. Winning Mtts in poker is super hard work and infrequent so get used to the variance and work out how you can make profit. Game selection is one of the hardest skills to master in poker. What games are worth my time? Not many of the micros.... but personally im not rolled well enough to make a decent living off poker.
