Can the Lakers Steal Momentum Back in LA?
The Thunder just dismantled the Lakers 125-107 to take a 2-0 lead. OKC’s speed is simply too much for the Lakers' transition defense right now. For the Lakers to "steal" one and get back into this series as they head home for Game 3, they have to solve the Shai Gilgeous-Alexander puzzle. He’s been averaging 31 points through the first two games, looking every bit like the MVP-caliber leader the Thunder need.
Player Props to Watch (Game 3 - Sunday)
If you’re looking to boost your bankroll on the player markets, here is where the value lies for the next clash:
Anthony Davis (Lakers) – Over 12.5 Rebounds: With the season on the line back in LA, expect AD to be a monster on the glass. The Lakers can't win if they don't dominate the paint.
Cade Cunningham (Pistons) – Over 8.5 Assists: Cade has been the ultimate floor general against the Cavs. His vision is slicing through Cleveland’s zone, and at home, his teammates are hitting their shots.
Chet Holmgren (Thunder) – Over 2.5 Blocks: Chet has been a "No Fly Zone" in OKC. Even on the road in LA, his rim protection is the backbone of the Thunder's defense.
The Spread: Where’s the Money?
The early line for Game 3: Lakers vs. Thunder has the Lakers as slim -2.5 favorites at home.
My Pick: Take the Lakers -2.5. The "Home Court Desperation" factor is real in the NBA. Teams down 0-2 returning home win Game 3 at an incredibly high rate.
Pistons vs. Cavaliers: The Pistons are currently -4.5 favorites. Detroit is firing on all cylinders, and unless Cleveland finds a way to stop the Pistons' bench scoring, this could be a sweep
