Freerolls - a lot of pain but sometimes worth it

Evening all

I've been a long time poker player. I lost SO much money in the early days chasing rivers and then trying to claw back lost money. Nowadays I mostly play freerolls on 888 but have set small limits on only a a couple of websites to chase that dream of the big win.

I play WAY to many hands and it's a major weakness but I've won tournaments in the past so will continue to try to beat the odds. I mostly play on 888 as they have a load of freerolls but honestly I've only ever won a couple of tournaments on 888 and as a % must be less than 1%. I've been more successful playing on NetBet and WilliamHill in the past for paid tourneys as the numbers are fewer and odds greater. I've banned myself from pretty much most of the poker sites because of my addiction so freerolls are my food to the addiction and I'm glad to have it.

I still hope to hit the jackpot on a randcm (small fee) tourney but I know my skills just aren't good enough so I hope similar players reach that point before they lose as much as I have.

Good luck on the tables

Cheers

Clint

Respect for the honesty, Clint. We’ve all chased a river or two. Fair play for setting limits and sticking to freerolls - keeping the game fun matters. Good luck at the tables, mate 🍀

Freerolls can be a decent way to stay involved without the damage, as long as you know your limits like you clearly do now. Wishing you the best of luck at the tables. Cheers
