I Had Three Aces And Still Lost to 3-5!!! A Painful Bad Beat😭💔

Situation like this is what they call peak disappointment. This is one of the most painful bad beat I’ve ever played.

This was how it went.... I looked down at A♠ K♥ excited and raised preflop. My oppponent called. Honestly, I wasn't worried. What could he have that could be stronger against ace-king?

The flop came A◆ A♣ 4♠.

My confidence boosted a 100 folds

Three of a kind! I had trip aces, and I was already thinking about how much value I could get from this hand. I bet, and my opponent called.

The turn brought a 8♣.

Still looking good for me, so I kept applying pressure. My opponent called again, and I couldn't understand what they were chasing.

Then came the river…

2♥.

Not knoowing my opponent had just completed a straight, I shoved all-in and just right before my eyes.... he won the pot.

I stared at the board in disbelief. I had three aces, and somehow, this player had called my bets with 3◆ 5◆ and hit the perfect card to beat me. Imagine flopping trip aces, feeling like the hand is practically yours, only to lose it to a straight you never saw coming.

I know poker is a game of probabilities, but some hands really just make you lose your confidence for real.
