There comes a point playing poker when you ask yourself am I just a fun player or has it become serious!
How to move forward with poker?
Will Poker enhance my life or isolate me?
What is the way forward?
Cardmates I recently had a significant win in my poker career so far. Now it’s not life changing but it was a big step forward in terms of my journey to date.
Since then, I have been playing every day just endlessly grinding away trying to catch that next big win!
I’ve hardly spoken to anyone and mostly don’t even know what day it is, until this morning when I woke up and asked myself “What are you doing Ronnie?”
I know I like to joke on here and not be all serious, but it’s for a reason and I will explain:
- I have a serious critical illness called Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (which I have had for 24 years)
- my job which I took very serious because I had a family to provide for (sadly can no longer do)
- l don’t go out much because it involves serious planning
- I have to plan to take a shower
- if I do go anywhere,we have to know if it’s disabled friendly and where the toilets are?
There is no medication for progressive multiple sclerosis, no cure and I am only left with Clinical trials
Thats the reason why I use this community in jest!
Everything else in my life is very serious!
GeeGee, while I joke is actually the most important person in my life, I literally cannot function without her!
Getting back to my realisation, I have setup a poker tracker with a twist!

Mystery Royal Battle (GG) is a good format. Unfortunately, the smaller tables have Bingo players.
Else play cash tables for 30 min sessions. Win Lose instantly. :)

Jeezus ronnie ! YOu make me laugh thank goodness. Try and limit your time playing poker. Only some games and time spent are profitable and it takes time to realise this and work out where is best to spend your time playing. It's why a lot of poker players play strictly cash games so you can always jump in and out of a game at your leisure. Im an MTT player mostly myself but in the end its about playing where its fun and profitable. Hard to know what stakes to play? Generally keep it small and manage your bank roll well - don't punt $5/ 10/ 20 games just cos you got a nice 1k BR booster. Stay disciplined on and off the table. All the best.

Ronnie, that was a genuinely powerful read. Respect for being so open about everything you’re dealing with, and honestly your humour probably helps more people here than you realise.
