Lost Internet Connection At the Final Table

Internet Connection

Today I was messing around on Party Poker. I joined a few micro sats that I found some success in. While I'm playing these I like to sometimes head to the "Free To Play" tab and join an on-going freeroll just before the freerolls late registration ends. While I was kicking butt in the sats I was also kicking butt in the freeroll. We were down to about seven players with one being a sit-out. I had a decent amount of chips but wasn't chip leader. Final table is six-max and then it happens - my internet drops. Luckily I finished up the buy-in games before the drop happened. I reset my router as that should amend the dropped internet issue. Attempt one doesn't do the trick. Luckily on attempt two of resetting the router we are back in action. I reload the Party Poker client to find out the game has ended. Can you guess what place I was in? Even while being a sitout with seven left - I still managed to get 2nd place while blinding out.

These games play fast - which is a positive thing. The prize won was a $2.20 sat ticket/ a free shot at some higher value prizes. That's how soft these games are. If you are avoiding playing them because you deem the prize pool not worth the man hours; I suggest using the strategy that I do. Register a minute or two before late registration ends and jam any decent hand. If you bust no time is lost. If you double start playing poker and 45 minutes later you'll have yourself a sat ticket. If you are someone who wants to challenge yourself and/or are building a bankroll from $0 these are great value games to add to your list of tournaments to play. Do you have some lost internet connection stories? If so lets hear all about them in the comment section below. If you decide to play these tournaments or any other: Good luck at the tables!
