People who play poker but don't enjoy it.

I like to read a lot of the PG&C threads and I came across a few ones where there are good, successful poker players who are clear winners in their relative games, but they don't enjoy poker. They talk a lot about how they one day wish to quit playing and how the game is not fun for them.

I am by no means saying this is a "wrong" or "bad" perspective to have, but I would like to learn more from people who feel this way. I love the game despite having played it for quite some time now and I can't see myself not playing.

So if you don't like poker, why is that?

Were it not for money, would you not ever play?

This view is interesting to me and I'd like some insight, thanks.

I don't see any reason why a player will play poker and not love playing the game. The only reason that could cause this is either he doesn't know how to play or he isn't a profitable player.
