POKER EDGE : MASTER YOUR POSITION

Core Position Strategies

  1. Play More Hands in Late Position: Raise and call wider from the button or cutoff. You see opponents’ actions first, making decisions easier and more profitable
  2. Steal Blinds Aggressively: Raise frequently from late positions when folds are likely. Early position players miss this edge and bleed chip
  3. Control the Pot: In position, you can check behind for free cards, bet for value, or bluff effectively. Out of position, keep pots smaller
  4. Isolate Weak Players: Use position to raise and isolate limpers. Play heads-up in position against weaker opponents.

Always ask: “Would I play this hand if I had to act first?” If no, fold from early position.Master position and you’ll win more pots with less risk while putting opponents in tough spots.

Great blog - keep up these posts , im sure people will find them useful. On No.4 Isolate players, I struggle with iso sizing sometimes because its so sensitive depending on the opponents tendencies and going post with call heavy players who put you in tough spots. Always learning how to apply these special moves in games consistently well.
