Poker Has Reached a New Level… I Didn't See This One Coming

I thought I've seen it all but every year the WSOP gives us something unexpected.

This year, it might be the biggest plot twist yet.

A player identifying as a Man made a deep run in the Ladies Championship, and almost won the tournament.

The internet has been... let's just say, very divided.

Some people are cheering while others are asking if that's really what the event was meant for.

Meanwhile, poker Twitter is doing what poker Twitter does best, by turning the whole thing into a meme. I've already seen a lot of people joking about the situation.

This has become one of the most talked-about stories of the series.

Poker never fails to surprise me.

One day we're arguing about bad beats.

The next day, we're debating Men in Ladies Championship.

What a time to be alive.....

If I remember correctly, there was a massive thing years ago regarding a man entering female only tournaments.

The argument at the time was something regarding sexism, and the fact there are no men only tournaments and if there was such a thing it would be hugely attacked for not being inclusive.  It even went to court. I'm sure the guys argument was upheld and he ended up winning then said he wouldn't enter anymore it was out of principle.

I hadnt heard of this story you've posted about this week. But reminded me of the other story.
