Poker VS Trading.... which is more easier and Profitable.
This topic might call for a debate but from my point of view, If we're to talk about which is easier I would go for Poker 100%. But if we're looking at profitability, trading can make you a whole lot of money very fast... most especially memecoin trading.
Let me expand on what makes Poker easier......
First of all, neither are easy. What makes poker more "easy" than trading is that it is a relative skill game. If you play weaker players than you, you will win, given enough time.
The key difference here is tilt, how it manifests and what happens.
Poker is a skill game in the long run, but in the short run crazy stuff can happen very fast. Really bad players can go on heaters and win a lot money. There is a lot of luck involved in the short run, and even in the long run.
I literally play poker everyday, sometimes cashgames or tournament sessions. I would play for hours cause I have a target I need to get to, often I get profitable while sometimes I don’t. If I'm to check my overall for last week, I'm in quite some profits.
I've still not learn how to conquer my ego to learn how to quit and accept losses (I still chase loses), but I'm making progress on that. All you just need is to keep playing and acknowledge there will be more games other days.
As long as you didn't go up in stakes when tilting, you would be fine. You could grind it out with poker.
With trading, because all your money is in the same account and you can change bet size with just a click of the mouse, it is EXTREMELY dangerous. You can put on huge risk so easily when tilted. You can pull stops, you can double your size, etc. There are so many ways to lose a lot of money extremely fast.
I've lost a lot of money in trading but when I found out poker is easier and I've been doing well with it, I’ve abandoned trading for now cause currently the market is bad.... I'll just end up losing more money.
I wouldn't recommend anyone to do either for a living. I'm not seeing poker as betting anymore, I'm now seeing it as a work. I tried that with trading but didn't work out. All in all, just choose what works best for you.
From my stand, I believe they both have a role to play 🥲😂
Personally I do both and principales are similar, but you can definitely make more money trading since you can risk more :P
